Gibson Guitars will pay $350,000 in penalties rather than go to court. Gibson will also withdraw its claims to about $261,000 of ebony and rosewood from India and Madagascar seized during the investigation Earlier this year (2012) armed agents from the justice dept and homeland security ( really?, they are protecting us from terrorist guitar builders.) raided the Gibson factory in Nashville, TN conficating over 100 guitars plus boxes of raw materials which they will keep!!

The greed and ruthlessness of Big Oil + Big Money + Corrupt Politics is now being flaunted openly in the faces of the American People. The Gulf Coast of the United States of America is rapidly and steadily becoming off limits to the citizens who live, work, vacation, invest and retire there. Not only are vast amounts of crude oil from the BP Deep Sea Well Explosion still pouring out into the sea, the Crude is showing up on various Gulf Coast shorelines and wetlands. It is now a Federal Offense to fish vast areas of the Gulf Of Mexico Coast. Catching a fish because you are hungry and have nothing else to eat is prohibited.
Now enter Tropical Storm and Hurricane season ( started June 1 ). These weather occurrences pick up water from the ocean. Oil floats on top of the water. When a storm passes over the Gulf of Mexico, it will be picking that oil up and then raining it down, on the coastland and miles inland. This oily rain ends up on vegetation and in water supplies, like reservoirs, lakes and rivers.
Don't be mistaken or fooled
THE DISASTER IN THE GULF IS NO ACCIDENT.
BP had no business starting that well if they had no tested fix.

Let's put all these "illions" into perspective. A million seconds is roughly 12 days, whereas a billion seconds is approximately 32 years.
We understand dollars. And we understand time. So it would take 12 days to pay back a million dollars at a dollar a second. But if you started right now, you'd pay back a BILLION dollars, at a dollar a second, in the year 2039.
A trillion seconds is roughly 32 thousand years. At a dollar a second, you'd pay back a TRILLION dollars in the year 34007.
According to scientists working for UCAR (University Corporation for Atmospheric Research) " The next sunspot cycle will be 30-50% stronger than the last one..." and interestingly enough, the year in which the solar cycle will peak is 2012!
