My first CD, cut at Blue Moon Studio, the predecessor to Pearlygates is titled "Martian Sunrise". The music was cut on a an AMD 350 computer using a Gina card and Cool Edit Pro.  The title cut is a multi-layered instrumental rock guitar song , written and arranged by me. One interesting technique I used in this song was the layering of single guitar lines, a "string section", if you like, to form the rhythm section. This has a very 60's, British extended solo feel to it. You can hear some clips by going to  listen.

Sandcastle Door is a driving power trio type blues based vocal tune. The guitar chops on this are very straight forward and up front in the mix. The horn parts and the drums and bass are were  all assembled using  modified Acid Loops. The vocals were cut on an AT 3525.

Digital Angel deals with the implantable microchip developed by the US Defense Dept and Applie Digital Solutions to track and trace human beings in the computerized beast system.

The last cut on the record, Moons of Mars, leans towards the jazz/ rock vein. For the lead tracks I used a 1970 Les Paul Recording through the Boogie.
